At the Laparoscopy hospital qualified physicians from around the globe gather to take advantage of a course which offers an intensive four week study program aimed at intensifying their understanding of the latest innovations in laparoscopic surgeries. This is the only institution located in Asia that can award the DIPLOMA IN MINIMAL ACCESS SURGERY (D.MAS) certificate. This certification is granted to those students who successfully complete this rigorous but rewarding program. Not only do the instructors provide detailed theoretical knowledge and expertise, there are many hours of actual hands on instruction in both the animal lab and in the operating room theater. These D.M.A.S. courses are offered monthly and they begin promptly on the first of each month and continue throughout the month for four weeks. There is a proviso that occasionally will allow a student to take the course part-time for a period of up to 6 months. There is one other course offered in the field of laparoscopic study at this institution and it is the Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.MAS) and this is the fellowship in minimal access surgery. The major difference between the diploma and the fellowship courses being the length of time involved. The F.MAS is a two week program only, although it starts at precisely the same time as the D.MAS program. No matter which program is studied, the amount of experience and knowledge gained is priceless.
